Mrs. Ida Main of Northbrook

Ida Main, 73, of Northbrook, Illinois. Loving wife of Estus Webb; devoted mother of Alex (Carol) Main; cherished grandmother of Eric and Anna. Ida was preceded in death by her late husband Mikhail Main and parents Naum and Khava Fedorovsky. Ida was born February 6, 1947 in Kiev, Ukraine and immigrated to the United States in 1975 with her husband Mikhail and their 5 year old son, Alex. They came with nothing and worked hard to build up a life for themselves and their son. They experienced hardships throughout the years and worked diligently to pursue the American dream. Ida was an accountant in Kiev and worked her way back into that career here in the U.S. You wouldn’t think a career in accounting could be entertaining but Ida had a way of telling stories about her experiences in the corporate world with style and flair that brought about laughter. She felt strongly that women should have a career and always worked hard to support the family. Ida loved to travel abroad and experience the culture of each country she visited. She had a passion for high-end fashion and loved to shop! Ida met Estus, and as he says “it was love at first sight”. They married on March 9, 2012. Ida and Estus enjoyed traveling and relaxing in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Ida was proud to be a grandmother; or as she liked to be called, Grandma Baba Ida. She enjoyed playing checkers and cuddling up on the couch with both grandchildren. Our memories of Ida will always keep us close to her and we miss her dearly. In lieu of flowers donations to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research would be appreciated. Ida was laid to rest in a private ceremony on April 16, 2020 at Willow Lawn Memorial Park cemetery located at 24090 N US Hwy 45, Vernon Hills, IL 60061. The family welcomes those who would like to pay their respects at the gravesite once it is safe to do so.
