Mrs. Tam Thi Thanh Nguyen of South Barrington

Tam Thi Thanh Nguyen, 54, of South Barrington, Illinois. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tâm went home to the Lord on July 15, 2021. Tam was born in Saigon, Vietnam in 1966. She immigrated with her family to the United States in 1975 and settled in Greensburg, Indiana. Tam attended St Mary Catholic School and Greensburg Community High School. Tam furthered her education at Purdue University and obtained a Master of Pharmacy Degree. Tam devoted the next 30 years as a dedicated registered Pharmacist at various hospitals and Drugstores in the Chicago area including St Francis Hospital, Lake County Nursing Home, and CVS. Her name “Thanh Tam” is translated as “Pure heart”. Tam lived the life as her name suggested and guided by principles of the Catholic faith with humility, generosity, caring, and love to others. Tam was a devoted wife of James Dinh, a loving mother of her children Vincent, Rose and Michael Dinh, a beloved daughter of her deceased parents Nang V. Nguyen and Gioc T. Phan, a beloved daughter-in-law of the deceased Tan V. Dinh and Thoa T. Nguyen, a generous sister to Kimmai (Paul), Thanh, Minh, Hien (Charles), Yen (deceased), Tan (Cheryl), Binh and Trang, a loving niece to aunts Bac, Kim and Thiec, and uncle An, and a gentle aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Nang Nguyen and Gioc Phan, her parents-in-law Tan V. Dinh, and Thoa T. Nguyen, grandparents An V. Nguyen, Ri T. Hoang, La V. Phan, and Bat T. Nguyen, and sister Yen Nguyen. Visitation Friday, July 23 from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Saturday, July 24 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at Morizzo Funeral Home, 2550 West Hassell Road., (Northeast corner of Barrington Rd), Hoffman Estates, IL 60169.
