Mrs. Elizabeth "Liz" Cirone of Roselle

Elizabeth "Liz" Cirone, nee Blomberg, 64, of Roselle, Illinois Loving mother of Diana (Ryan) North, Michael Cirone and Nicole (Gregory) Kornack; cherished grandmother of Evelyn and Claire; devoted sister of Grant "Rick" Blomberg, Rob (Karen) Blomberg, Dan (Beth) Blomberg and her sister of the heart, Patrice (Sam) Prato; beloved dog mom & grandma of Taco and Donut. Cherished aunt to 22 nieces and nephews, cousin and a friend to many. She is preceded in death by her parents Ellen Blomberg and Grant Blomberg, both of which she lovingly took care of as the most devoted daughter and caregiver. A dedicated registered nurse and case manager for nearly 40 years; 20 of which were spent at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates. Her work was recognized in 2016 when she was honored with the Alexian Brothers Legend Award, an annual prestigious recognition of an individual that exemplifies the values of the hospital. As a lover of music, Liz spent lots of time attending live concerts with her children and friends. As a talented musician, she performed for over 15 years with her friends Paul & Kevin at various venues throughout the Chicago area. The group performed a variety of music, but Liz was especially proud that their music often celebrated her Irish cultural heritage. She shared her love of music, teaching her children to play a variety of instruments and encouraging them to pursue their passions in the performing arts. Her memory is a blessing to all and her contributions to this earth are to be celebrated. Rest easy, beautiful one. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 12:00 P.M. to time of funeral service at 3:00 P.M. at Morizzo Funeral Home, 2550 Hassell Road, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169.
