Mrs. Geraldine M Warda of Chicago

With a full and heavy heart, Geraldine M. Warda (a.k.a. Gerry) of Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, October 30, 2023 at the age of 85. Geraldine was proudly raised in Chicago, IL by the late Joesph and Ann. Geraldine was married to the late John Warda for 63 years, and was a loving mother to John J. (Cyndi) Warda, Geri (James) Poull, Michael (Denise) Warda, the late Tracey (Robert) Quintero, and the late Ronald Warda. Geraldine was also a grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt to many and was constantly surrounded with love by family and friends. She was grateful for her loved ones and always wished “happiness for family”. Geraldine was a talented and hardworking hairdresser for 52 years, world traveler, enjoyed cooking for family & friends, and tended to her garden lovingly year after year. She was a fitness enthusiast; attending her local gym classes weekly for 35+ years and cherished her community there. Geraldine will always be remembered by her bold & beautiful fashion sense that inspired many, paired with her vibrant personality and confident presence, she was a desirable force to be around. Geraldine will be immensely missed. Visitation will be held on Monday November, 6th 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Mary of the Woods Catholic Church (6955 N Hiawatha Ave, Chicago, IL 60646) with a funeral mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. Geraldine will be laid to rest immediately after at Saint Michael the Archangel Cemetery (1185 W Algonquin Rd, Palatine, IL 60067).
