Mrs. Kshama B. Patel of Roselle

Kshama B. Patel, 80, of Roselle, Illinois. Born on May 16, 1956 in Nadiad, Gujarati, Kshama Patel was the beloved daughter of Jayrambhai and Shantaben Patel growing up in a household alongside eight siblings. Her spirited nature earned her the endearing nickname “Kshamavagh,” meaning tiger, a testament to her fearless demeanor from a young age. Kshama is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Bharat Patel, her cherished daughter Roma, son-in-law Hiram, and her three adored grandchildren: Zayn, Shay, and Rhys. As a child Kshama was known for her fearlessness and creativity. As she moved to a new and unknown land, she conquered various career paths with determination and grace. Her professional journey spanned from working in banking to owning and managing multiple successful ventures, including salons, restaurants and later, wealth management and private banking. Along with being incredibly intelligent, Kshama was creative with a talented eye for all things beautiful. She was devoted to the Swadhyay Parivaar and spent her life living a spiritual and God centered life, offering her time and efficiencies to selfless work. Above all, Kshama's unwavering loyalty and dedication to her family and friends defined her character, she was a friend to all, fierce and protective of everyone she loved. Her daughter Roma was at the center of her world, a love that only deepened with the arrival of her 3 beloved grandsons. Kshama spent the later years of her life devoted to her grandchildren, from cooking them healthy and hearty meals to endlessly playing board games. Kshama lived a life filled with beauty, love, fulfillment, forging deep connections with countless friends and family, leaving us all with memories to cherish. Our family appreciates your support throughout the years and during this difficult time, in lieu of flowers we ask that you make contributions to University of Chicago-Medicine a cause that had significantly helped Kshama in her battle with cancer.
