Norma M. DeHoff

Norma M. DeHoff (nee Biagini), 99, of Hoffman Estates, passed away peacefully at home on June 10, 2026 surrounded by loved ones. She was the beloved wife of 48 years to the late John E. DeHoff, Sr. who passed away on January 25, 2001. She was also the loving - and treasured - mother of John Jr. (Jennifer), Robert, James (Susan), Janet (John) Knobloch, Jean (Timothy) Michniewicz, Mary Taylor (William Thummel), Patricia, and Thomas (Arlene); the cherished grandmother of Kyle (Rachel), Kevin (Lauren), James (Cassidy) Knobloch, Daniel (Kathryn Speck) Knobloch, and DeAnna; bonus grandmother for Morgan Thummel; and adoring great-grandmother of nine. Norma was the dear sister of Loretta (late William Jr.) Cleary, the kind aunt of seven nieces and nephews, and the sweet cousin and friend of so many, including her devoted caregivers Anita and Evelyn. She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law Dorothy (DeHoff) Schulze and brother-in-law Charles Schulze. Norma DeHoff was born in Chicago on October 18, 1926 to Orlando and Rose (Biagi) Biagini. She was a graduate of Mercy High School, Class of 1944. Norma did secretarial work before stopping to raise her family, and later became a valued 20-year employee of the Meyer Medical Group. After retirement, she served as a long-time volunteer at the Palos Community Hospital gift shop, accumulating many hours of service, new friends and thoughtful gifts along the way. Norma enjoyed listening to a wide variety of music and travelling to places near and far, by plane, train, ship or car. She also was a big sports fan and loved playing all kinds of board, card and word games. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Norma will always be remembered for her wonderful holiday traditions and celebrations, her penchant for sending greeting cards for every occasion or just to say “thinking of you”, and for her legendary support of numerous charities. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Morizzo Funeral Home, 2550 Hassell Road, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169. Funeral Saturday, June 20,2026 with prayers beginning at 9:15 am at the funeral home then processing to St. Hubert Catholic Church, 729 Grand Canyon Street, Hoffman Estates, IL for a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 am. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 87th Street and South Hamlin Avenue, Evergreen Park, IL 60805. Devoted to her family, Norma will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
