Castro Loving husband of Elvira Castro, née Alvarez Camarena; devoted father of Pablo (Elisa) Castro Jr., Erick (Erika) Castro and Robert (Alicia) Castro; cherished grandfather of Felicia Aguillon, Jasmin (Chad) Jacobs, Paulina (CJ) Perez, Leylah Castro, Emiliano Castro, and Emmanuel Castro; fond great grandfather of Julian, Elias and James; beloved brother of Estela (the late Jesus) Guzman, Hilda (Herminio) Juarez, Trinidad (Antonio) Sandoval, the late Angel (Trinidad) Castro, the late Marta (the late Eduardo) Malagon, the late Maria Esther (Ruben) Bedolla and the late Jesus (the late Josie) Castro; fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. His family was the center of his world; nothing brought him greater joy than serving and spending time with the people he loved most, and cheering on his favorite team. A lover of the Chicago White Sox, the Mexican National Soccer Team, tequila, music, and dancing, “Paiya” celebrated life with radiant joy, love, and laughter. Those who knew him will remember him as a God-fearing husband and devoted father who lived with humility, demonstrating strength, kindness, and perseverance through every season of life. Though he will be deeply missed every day, we find comfort in knowing that his love, his example, and the memories he created will remain with us forever. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 3:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Morizzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2550 West Hassell Road (northeast corner at Barrington Road), Hoffman Estates, Illinois 60169. At 11:00 A.M. a funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 3, 2026, at St. Joseph Church, 270 Division St., Elgin, IL 60120.
