Rodger "Chip" Webb

Rodger “Chip” Webb (1967–2026) Rodger “Chip” Webb, a man who lived authentically as a self proclaimed “jack of all trades” with a deep love for four-legged companions, transitioned to his eternal life on March 30, 2026. Born in Chicago on November 26, 1967, to Margaret Maxwell and Rodger Webb, Chip grew up in the suburb of Schaumburg. A graduate of Hoffman Estates High School, he lived life in the Midwest, though some of his most cherished memories were rooted in the South. He often spoke of the irreplaceable joy he found during summers spent on his Papa and Grandma’s farm in McKenzie, Tennessee—a place that shaped his appreciation for a simpler, more grounded way of life. Throughout his journey, Chip moved through many stages of life, ever-evolving and gathering lessons that forged him into the man his friends and family knew. Overcoming challenges and hurdles as he encountered them. Although he was modest in this aspect, his hard-won victory over addiction, a testament to his resilience and strength of character. He often relied on his quick wit and dry sarcasm to navigate life's ups and downs, always ready with a clever remark that could lighten the mood or punctuate a moment. He was a man of distinct passions; he found peace on the open road on his motorcycles, rhythm in the strings of his bass guitars, and unconditional friendship in his dogs: Molly, Myke, and Jake. At home, Chip was a "piddler" in the best sense of the word. He found true contentment in adding his own personal touches to his home and surroundings, always on the lookout for unique trinkets and treasures. Chip made his biggest and most important decision years ago, accepting Jesus as his Lord and Savior. His faith in Jesus gave Chip the strength to endure the physical hardships of the past few years. His relationship with Christ was the quiet anchor of his soul, providing a steady light even during his darkest hours.This unwavering devotion was not just a belief, but the very foundation upon which he built his resilience and grace. He now rests peacefully and wholly in the presence of his Savior. Chip’s legacy is carried on by his mother, Marty/Sue (Bill/Max) Maxwell; his father, Rodger (Julie) Webb; his partner Nicole Bunger; his brothers, Casey (Judy) Webb and TJ Maxwell; and a large extended family including Lisa, Jason, Chris, Jennifer, Andrew and their families. He was a proud uncle to Andrew, Derek, and Mackenzie. Fond nephew of Larry (Colleen) Prince. Chip now joins his grandparents, Paul and Marjorie Webb, Margaret and Lawrence Prince, and uncle Ed (Ann) Price in eternal rest. A celebration of Chip’s life will be 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Morizzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, at 2550 West Hassell Road, (Northeast corner at Barrington Road), Hoffman Estates, Illinois 60169
