Mrs. Sabina Mikucka

Sabina Mikucka (nee Baginska) at the age of 101, left this world peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones with the hands of the Lord upon her. Sabina was born in Brooklyn in 1919. Her family moved back to Poland in the late 1920’s where she met the love her life Jan. They married in 1943 and eventually made the US their permanent home where they raised their family of four. Sabina was our angel and our inspiration on how to live a life with a heart full of kindness, love, and spunk. She loved to travel, with some of her most notable destinations being France, Italy, and Israel. Big family holiday trips to Hawaii and the Caribbean were always a favorite. Sabina and Jan spent much time traveling back and forth to Poland where they spent glorious summers in the village they grew up. After Jan passed, Sabina continued traveling to Poland for extended summer stays as well as to the white sand beaches of Florida for the winters with time in between at home in Inverness. She loved sushi nights, spending time in the garden, jigsaw puzzles, Steve Harvey, Wheel of Fortune, Bob Chinns Crabhouse, cooking amazing Polish food, reading, and saying her daily rosary. We will miss her beautiful laugh and her signature, heartfelt “I Love You’s” that she always made sure to share with all of us. She cherished and will always be cherished by her adoring family. Sabina was the Loving Wife of the late Jan Mikucki, Beloved Mother of Krystyna (Slawomir) Trzaska, Wieslaw (Marianne), Barbara Colletier (Pascal), Christopher (Catherine) as well as her loving caregiver Alicia Schuld who became like a daughter; Cherished Grandmother of Robert (Maria), Andre (Diana), Mark (Christine), Karen (Rick), Gregory (Krisztina), Tracy, Michael-John (Leah), Stefanie, Nico, and Olivia; Beloved Great Grandmother to Ryan (Lauren), Jacklyn (Brian), Alex (Payton), Zachary, Andy, Lauren, CJ, Julia, AJ, Matthew, Scottie, Joshua, Kailey, Emily, Gabriella, Grace, Josh, Noah, Nathaniel, Madeline, Maximillian; Cherished Great Great Grandmother to Caroline; Devoted daughter of the late Wladyslaw and the late Jozefa Baginski; Loving sister of the late Waclaw, Wladyslawa and Mieczyslaw. Fun loving long-time friend and traveling companion to Genia, Andrzej and Todd. Visitation Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Morizzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2550 W. Hassell Road, (Northeast corner at Barrington Road), Hoffman Estates, IL 60169 Funeral Monday, May 3, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. until time of prayers 9:45 A.M proceeding to Holy Family Catholic Church 2515 W. Palatine Rd., Inverness Illinois for a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial.
