Mrs. Sarita A. Ostos of Hoffman Estates

Sarita A. Ostos, 89, of Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Sarita was born on July 17, 1934. She was born in her home on the kitchen table and departed this world in her home in her bed where she was surrounded by the love of her children. She was an amazing woman with a full life. Acting was her love and started performing in high school. Following her love for the arts by working at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago at the age of 14. She then moved onto work at NBC. The love of her life swept her off her feet in 1956 to get married and raise four loving and devoted children. In the early ‘70’s she returned to work at United Airlines working in the Red Carpet Room where she dazzled there. She took her family on vacations around the world and reveled in every one of those adventures. After retirement she returned to acting where she did commercials, industrial videos and modeled in print ads. She loved the arts, dancing and music is what held her heart. She was an extraordinary woman, who exemplified class and grace. We will miss her immensely. Loving wife of the late Edmund Ostos; devoted mother of Catherine (Gerard Zimney) Ostos, Michael (Stephanie) Ostos, Marguerite (John Sullivan) Ostos, Suzi (Matt O'Toole) Ostos; cherished grandmother of Erin (Ryan Nordstrand) Lind, Chaz (Britta) Chaffee, Tyler Ostos, McKenna Ostos, Sara Moyers and Sydney Moyers; beloved great grandmother of Reed, Trey, Levi, Aila, Halyn, Myla and Elidy; fond sister of Veronica (the late Charles) Buchino and Amadeo (Janice) Nunez. Visitation will be Monday, February 12, 2024, from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Morizzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2550 West Hassell Road, (Northeast corner of Barrington Road), Hoffman Estates, IL. 60169. Family and friends will meet Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Morizzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, for a Visitation that will be from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. time of funeral service.
