February 1, 1933 - June 13, 2021
On Sunday, June 13, 2021, Barbara Therese (nee Mullins) Hausl, 88, passed away peacefully at home, in Mesa, Arizona, with all seven of her children by her side. Barbara was born on 2/1/1933 in Chicago, IL to Edward and Marie (nee Blazek) Mullins. She grew up in the city and graduated from Trinity High School. She was employed by the Telephone Company until she met the love of her life, Earl Hausl Sr. At that point in her life, she knew her destiny was with him on earth and in heaven. They are now joined together once again in eternity. On April 16, 1955, she married the love of her life and together their love story lasted over 65 years. Barbara and Earl raised their seven children together in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. As their family grew so did the size of their home. She was usually busy doing things around the house but always managed to make time for her family. She prepared wonderful meals and always had extra for our friends. We will never forget how many washing machine and dryer repairs she needed. She attended countless number of school activities and sporting events, spent time as a Brownie leader and there were always extra children in her backyard. She was a devoted wife and the most loving mother you could wish for. She cherished her family to the end. When retirement age approached, they took the opportunity to move to a warmer climate. Her retirement years were spent with her loving husband in Arizona enjoying the warm weather, traveling, spending time doing retirement activities and entertaining many visitors. She always looked forward to family visiting, taking us sightseeing and eating at her favorite places. The golf cart rides and trips to the pool were always a favorite. We have so many wonderful memories spending time together. She was quick-witted and had a great sense of humor. She was full of wisdom and always had great advice. You never went wrong if you followed her advice. Her friendships were genuine. Barbara was proud to know that she survived to see her great-great-granddaughter, making 5 generations of living women. Barbara will be remembered with unending love, gentleness, generosity and her loving heart to care for others. She was the woman we all strive to be. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Earl William Hausl Sr., her parents, Edward and Marie (nee Blazek) Mullins, her sisters, Rosemarie Forfar and Lois Burke. She is survived by sister Judith (Robert) Rebholz, her brother Edward (Eleanor) Mullins Jr., her 7 children, Debra (Richard) Ester, Renee (John) Stehlin, Earl (Caroline) Hausl Jr., Barbara (late Donald) Hilton, Glenn (Ellyn) Hausl, Karen (Ward) Tannhauser, Gary (Beth) Hausl, she had 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter, many nieces and nephews. Though her smile is gone forever, and your hand we cannot touch, we still have many memories of the one we love so much. Your memory is our keepsake with which we will never part. God has you in his hands. We love you in our hearts.
