Mr. Carl R. Miller of Hoffman Estates

February 2, 1942 - March 7, 2022

Carl R. Miller, 80, of Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Loving husband of Dolores A. Miller, nee Jiran; devoted father of C.J. Miller; cherished grandfather of Jay and Corinne. A native Chicagoan, he attended Ryerson Elementary and Lane Tech High and was a member of the 1959 City Championship football team. Worked for E.M.C.B. for over 35 years, retiring in 1997 as vice president. Carl Miller has been active in Illinois youth hockey since 1977. As an active volunteer in youth hockey he held a variety of positions with the Hoffman Estates Flyers, Hoffman-Dundee Knights, and the Schaumburg Kings. In 1985 he became involved with high school hockey and was a member of the AHAI High School Committee from 1986-2007. Carl was presented with many awards for his dedication. Most proudly, in 2006 he was inducted to the Illinois Hockey Hall of Fame Visitation will be Sunday, March 13, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Morizzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2550 West Hassell Road, (Northeast corner at Barrington Road), Hoffman Estates, Illinois 60169; and Monday, March 14 from 9:00 A.M. until time of prayers at 10:00 A.M. at Morizzo Funeral Home processing to St. Hubert Catholic Church, 729 Grand Canyon St, Hoffman Estates, Illinois 60169. Interment to follow at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles. In lieu of flowers donations to St Jude Children's Hospital or Blackhawk Alumni Charities would be greatly appreciated.
