Mr. Richard "Dick" Iosso of Schaumburg

December 25, 1933 - March 28, 2021

Richard “Dick” Iosso, longtime resident of Schaumburg, IL and Anna Maria Island, FL passed away at age 87 on Sunday, March 28, 2021. Richard was born in Chicago on December 25, 1933. After he married his high school sweetheart Grace, and bought their first home, he was drafted into the army. Stationed in Chicago, he was able to sneak off base to play in a band to send money home to pay the bills. He then started his own band and played at the Chicagoland area bars, and for weddings. He loved his music, big band, Dixieland, and jazz. He started his own business, and became a respected and successful businessman. He was an extraordinary cook, photographer, videographer, and drummer. He also loved to fish off his dock in Anna Maria, and to sit on the patio enjoying the weather with a glass of wine in his hand with something good cooking on the grill. He spent a lot of time recording and making family videos. Most of all, he cherished his time with his kids, grandkids, extended family, and friends. Loving father of Marianne (Donald) Ortmann and Chris (Steve) Kierstead; devoted grandfather of Emily, Angela, Nicholas, Anthony and the late Alex; beloved brother of Phyllis Burke and the late Rusty (Marge) Iosso; cherished uncle of Cheryl Garcia and Ron (Patty) Burke; devoted business partner of Grace Nosko. Brother to Charlie Ruffulo, George Ruffulo, Frank Ruffulo, and Angie (Ruffulo) Cozie.
