Graduated from Tennessee School for the Deaf in Knoxville and from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN. Wendell was a loving, caring guy. Especially when he was with the children at all the deaf schools. He believed in them & knew they would grow into loving care people, that would make a difference in the World to come. He had faith & believe in everything they done, together. He cared & loved each & everyone of them. Wendell, also felt this way with all those he help in swimming. He took some film clips of children when he was teaching them to swim. They were so sweet to watch and so adorable. This was his world, his life & his love. It meant everything to him. He ran in a lot of 2K & some 5K run's. His most recent was in August 2020 in Olathe, Kansas were he lived. It was the DC BATMAN VIRTUAL RUN. This was his favorite, because he loved Batman. His love for running gave him strength, feeling of life & made him strong to carry on that he could do anything in this World. He loved the SF 49er's & TN Vol. But he went to many football & basketball games where-ever he lived. Matter of fact all his t-shirts were of the 49er's or TN Vol. & tons of memorabilia. Oh let's not forget all his t-shirts of Batman & all that memorabilia. Wendell loved Batman, he told us so many times. He had a picture of shaped words that made up a picture of Batman it said, It's Not Who I Am Underneath But What I Do That Defines Me! Wendell will always be greatly missed, live forever in our hearts & memories. He will never be forgotten! He was the best son, brother, uncle & friend anyone could want. Batman does live on!
