Mr. Wilbur "Wil" A. Gage of Riverside

Wilbur A. Gage, 75, of Riverside, Illinois. Loving husband of Andrea Gage, nee Trulis; proud son of the late Wilbur “Bill” and Minnie Gage and son-in-law of the late Thomas and Josephine Trulis; devoted father of Wilbur T. (Kara) Gage and Joseph (Jessica) Gage; cherished grandfather of Mia and Georgia; beloved brother of John (Phyllis) McHugh, Teresa (Don Bimmerle) Roberts and the late Patricia (the late Richard) Fanella; fond brother in law of Tom (Elaine) Trulis and the late Ralph (Gigi) Trulis; wonderful uncle, cousin and “second father” to so many. Wil passed away unexpectedly in his home, however his legacy and spirit will undoubtedly live on for eternity. Wil was the epitome of generosity, always putting the needs of others above his own. He was a simple man who rarely encountered a problem for which he couldn’t find a solution. Wil’s incredible work ethic and desire to serve others provided the foundation for a highly successful career as the owner/operator of both Magikist Rug Cleaners and Duraclean International. He always had a passion for his sons’ and granddaughters’ sporting events, Sunday dinners, household projects, road trips to the cottage, hardware stores, and especially classic Corvettes - but even these paled in comparison to his immeasurable love for the time he spent with his wife and family. Wil was our absolute rock, and he leaves behind a tremendous void that can only be offset by the countless memories that will be cherished forever Family and friends are asked to meet at St. Paul VI Parish (formerly St. Mary Church), 126 Herrick Road, Riverside on Tuesday, May9, 2023 for a visitation from 12:00 P.M. till time of Mass at 1:00 P.M. Interment will be private.
