Ms. Yazmin "Yaya" Hogan of Hoffman Estates

Yazmin "Yaya" Hogan, 28, of Hoffman Estates, Illinois. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Yazmin (Yaya) Hogan on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the age of 28 after a long battle with Sickle Cell Anemia in Hoffman Estates, Il. While her family and friends are shocked by her untimely death, they are thankful for her life. Yaya loved her family, cherished her friends, and fought hard. She was a caring daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, cousin, goddaughter, and friend. Yaya was born to parents Kimberly Porcha and her beloved late father, Dorien Hogan, February 25, 1995. Yaya filled our lives with love from the moment she came into the world. She is tremendously missed by surviving members of her family. Yaya is survived by her mother Kimberly Porcha’ and her stepfather Samuel (Hank) Porcha’. She leaves behind her cherished older brother Kamal (Maulie) Hogan and stepsiblings Jaida and Jalen Porcha’. Yaya has one nephew, Kamal Hogan, Jr. She was loved by her maternal grandparents, Diane Moss and the late Jorge L. Laureano and paternal grandparents Denise Hogan Bedford, Mrs. Denise Tatum, and the late Jack Tatum. Yaya was treasured by Godparents, Dawn Li’Gregni, and Mr. and Mrs. Edna and Jerry Jacobs. With family great in numbers, Yaya was held dear by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Faith Reform Church, 95 Washington St., Lodi, NJ, 07644, at 10:00 A.M., all friends and family are welcome and appreciated. In lieu of flowers, for those who feel inclined and wish to donate to her Go Fund Me Page we would greatly appreciate it. However, it is important to note that your prayers and support are more than enough. The Hogan/Tatum/Laureano/Moss/Porcha’ family wishes to thank all of those who sent kind words and help.
