Aurora Duenas, nee Lujan; 83, of Streamwood, Illinois. With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Aurora Duenas, a remarkable woman whose life was defined by strength, love, and unwavering devotion to her family. Aurora was a proud and dedicated wife of the late Luis Duenas; loving mother of Luis (Norma) Duenas, Jesse Duenas, late Fabian Duenas, Mario Duenas, Isaac (Natalie) Duenas, and Karina Duenas, instilling in each of them the values of family, love, resilience, and togetherness. Her home was always filled with laughter, comfort, and the irresistible desire to her cooking. She had a special gift for making sure everyone who walked through her door felt welcomed, cared for, and well-fed. Cherished Grandmother of Zachary, Angela, Fabian, Tyler, Matthew, Alexa (James) ,Kathryn, Christopher, Johnathan, Sophia and Gavin; Great Grandmother of Cameron, Cali, and Autumn. As a grandmother and great-grandmother, Aurora’s love only grew deeper. She cherished every moment spent with her family, creating memories that will be treasured for generations. Whether it was sharing stories, offering guidance, or simply enjoying each other’s company, her presence brought warmth and joy to all who knew her. Aurora found peace and happiness in the simple beauty of life, especially in the sunshine. She loved spending time outdoors, soaking in the warmth of the sun, a reflection of the light she brought into the lives of others. Aurora's visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday April 2, 2026 with a funeral service 6:30 P.M. at Morizzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, at 2550 West Hassell Road, (Northeast corner at Barrington Road), Hoffman Estates, Illinois 60169. Her legacy is one of unconditional love, selflessness, and quiet strength. She will be remembered as the heart of her family—a woman who gave endlessly and loved deeply. Though she is no longer with us, Aurora’s spirit lives on in the family she nurtured and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever loved. She is now at peace, reunited in heaven with her loving husband Luis Duenas whom she was married to for 62 years,her cherished son Fabian Duenas and her son-in-law Ricardo Dominguez.
