Betty J. Carlson

Betty Carlson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Betty was the loving wife of the late Ronald Carlson; devoted mother of Montgomery (Sara) Carlson and Amanda (Jonathan) Porter; cherished grandmother of Jessica (Jamie) Aguilera, Gabriel Carlson, Madison Porter, and Reagan Porter; and great-grandmother of Isla Aguilera. She is also survived by her loving siblings: Sylvia Jarvis of Yukon, Oklahoma; Constance Hobbs of Walnut Shade, Missouri; Vickie Collins of Strafford, Missouri; Christie (Steve) Anderson of Strafford, Missouri; Jimmy (Sue) Stockard of Chillicothe, Missouri; Joe (Annette) Stockard of Springfield, Missouri; and Jeffrey (Heather) Stockard of Kansas City, Missouri. She also leaves behind numerous beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Carlson; her mother, Betty (Charles) Phillips; and her father, James (Hazel) Stockard. Betty was a woman of unwavering faith who loved the Lord and lived her life with kindness, grace, and compassion. She treasured her family above all else and never missed an opportunity to share a warm smile, an encouraging word, or a helping hand. Her home was often filled with the aroma of her cooking, and she was especially known for making the best biscuits and gravy and homemade pies that family and friends eagerly looked forward to. More than the meals she prepared, Betty nourished those around her with unconditional love, generosity, and a servant’s heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Savior. The Memorial Service will be at Calvary Church in Muscatine, Iowa on Saturday August 8th. There will be a visitation at the church starting at 9:30 A.M. till time of memorial service at 11:30 A.M.
