Mrs. Dolores Behringer of Schaumburg

Dolores “Dee” Behringer, 88, of Hoffman Estates/Schaumburg, Illinois; passed away on June 13, 2026, surrounded by her family. Dee was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Behringer, and her parents, William and Albina Dempewolf. She is survived by her children, Richard (Kim) Behringer, William (Jody) Behringer, and Kathleen (Jeffrey) Rose; her grandchildren, Christina, Thomas, Alan, KerryAnn, Katie, Bryan, Kimberly, Emma and Anna; many great grandchildren; and her sisters Marlene, Janice, and Leila. Dee was a woman of remarkable strength and determination who worked hard throughout her life in a variety of roles, including office positions, retail work, and as a teacher’s aide. No matter where she worked, she was known for her warm smile, positive attitude, and ability to make everyone feel welcome. She had a vibrant and outgoing personality that naturally drew people to her. Her laugh, sense of humor, and upbeat outlook on life made her a favorite companion and a treasured friend to many. Dee was a talented cook. Her home was often filled with laughter, delicious food, and memorable gatherings. She had a creative spirit, an artistic eye, and a flair for fashion. She enjoyed traveling, participating in water aerobics, and spending time with her many friends. Above all, Dee treasured her family. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her cherished children and grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with unconditional love, encouragement, and countless treasured moments. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and reunited with loved ones who have gone before her. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who knew her, her legacy of kindness, laughter and love will continue to live on through the many lives she touched. Visitation will be held at Morizzo Funeral Home (2550 Hassell Rd, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169) on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a short service.
