Mrs. Doreen Annette Wagner

Doreen Annette Wagner, nee Jaschinsky, age 78, died on November 21, 2023. Born April 30, 1945, in Chicago, to the late Edwin and late Elsie Jaschinsky. Beloved wife of the late Richard Lee Wagner. Loving mother of Scott (Karen), Dennis (Belinda), Jeffrey (Carolyn), late Steven, Paul (Amanda) and Mark (Nancy). Cherished gramma of Aaron, Kasandra (Eli), Annaliese (Weston), Holden, Correy, Maxwell, Alexander, Genevieve, Michaela, Bethany, Autumn, Nathan, Noah, Megan, Nicholas, Nolan, Margaret, Neil, Meredith and Miriam. Dearest sister of late Lilas Borcherding. Loving niece of late Leonard & the late Jeanne Meissner, late Gerhardt Meissner. Dear cousin of late Barbara Marx. Fond aunt to Debbie Nikitscher and Brian Borcherding. Doreen was baptized at St. Andrew Lutheran Church and attended St. Andrew Lutheran School in Chicago and later attended Luther South High School. She married Rick Wagner in May of 1964. She lived in McKinley Park, Chicago, most of her life and was involved with St. Andrew Lutheran Church and School as a Girl Pioneer leader and in other volunteer roles. Doreen worked as a receptionist at Slotkowski Sausage Company and later worked her "fun" job at Comiskey Park, now Guaranteed Rate Field, selling Cracker Jack Popcorn. She moved to the northwest suburbs after Rick's passing. She was an active gramma to her many grandchildren, going to baseball, football, soccer, concerts, recitals and many of the events her grandchildren were in. She was later diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2019. She was a woman of faith who loved studying her Bible and singing hymns and was very involved in WELS Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society. Visitation will be Sunday, November 26, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Morizzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2550 West Hassell Road, (Northeast corner at Barrington Road), Hoffman Estates, Illinois 60169. Family and Friends will meet Monday, November 27, 2023 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 100 W. Michigan Avenue, Palatine, Illinois, 60067 for a visitation from 10:00 A.M. till time of funeral service 11:00 A.M.. Interment at Concordia Cemetery Sect 10 Lot 378 at a later time.
