Mr. George W Klosowski of Carpentersville

George Walter Klosowski , 76, of Carpentersville, Illinois, He was born on June 28, 1946 in Chicago, passed away peacefully in his home on December 7, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Sylvia Klosowski, and his brother Norbert. George was a loving husband of Linda (nee Carlino) of 54 years and a devoted and proud father of Kevin (Diane); Karen Hayes (Robert); and Laura Beth. An adoring grandfather, George was constantly amazed by the latest accomplishments of his five grandchildren: Nicole, Thomas, Tyler, Adrian and Clare. He was also survived by his younger brother Anthony (Della); step-mother Sylvia; caring cousins, and many nieces/nephews. After graduating from the University of Illinois, he served the community as a dedicated pharmacist for forty-three years and was a member of several pharmacy organizations. It was his honor to participate in the 2022 U of I commencement ceremonies as a “Golden Grad”. Following his 2012 retirement, he enjoyed gardening, home rehab, traveling and spending time with his family. He was thrilled when his children shared his love for these hobbies. George fought a long and courageous battle against cancer, and never complained or sought pity. He was grateful for the medical care he received from Illinois Cancer Specialists and University of Chicago Medical Center. His strong religious beliefs allowed him to find solace and accept his destiny, knowing that heavenly rewards awaited him. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to American Association for Cancer Research or a charity of your choosing. Visitation will be Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. until time of his funeral service 3:30 P.M. at Morizzo Funeral Home, 2550 West Hassell Rd., (Northeast corner of Barrington Rd.), Hoffman Estates, IL. 60169. A gathering at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums in River Grove, Il will be held at a later date.
