Mr. James "Jimmy" Kocjancich

It’s with heavy hearts we announce the sudden and untimely death of James (Jimmy) S. Kocjancich on the morning of Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Jimmy was the beloved son of Valere Kocjancich and the late James (Jim) B. Kocjancich (Jim Kay), brother of Becki (Tom) Council, Nick Soucek, and Vicky (Sam) Soucek; uncle of Anthony Radaha, Kaylee Soucek, LeAnn Radaha, Seth Soucek, Sammy Soucek, and Cole Soucek; and nephew of Glenn Girlando. Jimmy was loved by all that knew him. Many described him as ‘a good guy’, kind hearted, a gentle soul, very compassionate, and funny with a great sense of humor. He loved bowling, golf, paintball, and playing World of Warcraft. He enjoyed family times, vacationing, his venti vanilla iced coffee, making new memories, and hanging out with friends. Jimmy had many challenges and struggles in life that he always faced head-on, the best he could with dignity. It brings great comfort to know Jimmy’s last days were spent laughing and joking again. It is this memory that gives his family reassurance that he is finally carefree and in eternal peace. Jimmy Kay, we love you! Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life on June 1st, 12pm-4pm (open house) at Valere's house in Elgin, for those that would like to pay their respects and share their memories of Jimmy with our family.
