Kathleen Ann Luby of South Barrington, Illinois. Born in Chicago, IL on January 3, 1943 to the late Helen and Walter Muellner, Kathleen passed away on Monday February 12, 2024 at home surrounded by loving family. Kathleen was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Michael Luby Sr., a loving and proud mother of Thomas (Laura) Luby, Matthew (Karen) Luby, Karen (Kurt) Burton, Daniel (Pam) Luby, Nancy (Butch) Treiber, James (Gina) Luby and the late Timothy Luby; cherished grandmother of Richard III (Cassandra), John(Jennifer), Andrew (Jennifer), Katherine (Joshua), Thomas, Summer (Dylan), Madeline, Ellissa, Patrick, Ashley, Skyler, Alexander, Olivia, Kailey, Matthew, Alyssa and Brianna; proud great-grandmother of Richard IV, Charlotte, and Isabella; fond sister of Karen (Robert) Pappano and Walter (Patti) Muellner; dear sister-in-law of John (late Eileen) Luby, Michael (Rosemary) Luby, Robert Luby and the late William (the late Joan) Luby; kind aunt and great-aunt of many. Kathleen was so many amazing things. Above all, she was radiant, loyal, resilient and God-fearing. Her heart was purely made of gold, always prioritizing the care of others above herself. She never went a day without making someone’s day better. Her joyful spirit will be missed so profoundly, however, there is comfort to be found in the memories she leaves behind in the hearts of all of those she devotedly poured her love into. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 3pm to 6pm at Morizzo Funeral Home, 2550 Hassel Road, Hoffman Estates, IL. A Mass will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 10:30am at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela Street, Barrington, IL. Family and friends are invited to gather for a final viewing prior to Mass starting at 9:30am. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.
