Lito "Glorito" Villamar, 86, of Hoffman Estates, Illinois. With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of our beloved Lito (Glorito) Dela Cruz Villamar. Lito to many, but Glorito to those who knew him longest, and simply “Dad” to his children and “Tatay” to his grandchildren. We honor a man we were so incredibly fortunate to have in our lives. Lito was born April 8, 1939 in Calaca, Batangas Philippines. He peacefully passed away surrounded by his family at the age of 86 years old on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Ascension Alexian Brothers – Hospice Residence in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Lito earned a degree in Business Management majoring in Banking and Finance from University of the East in Manila. He moved with his family to America in 1975. He worked at True Value Hardware as a warehouse associate for five years then moving on to Pfizer where he retired after 26 years of service. Lito was the gentlest soul and simple in his needs. Throughout his journey, he touched the lives of many people with his boundlessness in his patience, and overflowing with kindness, thoughtfulness and infectious smile. Above everything, he was deeply, quietly caring, especially when it came to his family. He embraced every challenge with grace and faced adversity with wavering strength. His warm presence and unconditional love will forever be missed. Lito was the loving husband of Emmy Villamar, nee Tolentino, and together they created a legacy of love and devotion, being married for nearly 61 years. His children, Maria (Ben) Guy and the late Kenneth (Rochell) Villamar, cherished grandfather of Noah Guy, Xander Guy, Gian Villamar, Ryan Villamar and Reese Villamar were his pride and joy. He was born to the late Federico and Maria Villamar, brother of the late Rogelio (Ising) Villamar, the late Felicidad (the late Mariano) Villalobos, Milagros (the late Ricardo) Mendoza, and the late Virgilio (Corazon) Villamar. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Morizzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2550 West Hassell Road, (Northwest corner of Barrington Road), Hoffman Estates, IL 60169. Family and friends will meet on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Holy Family Church, 2515 W. Palatine Road, Inverness, IL 60067 for a visitation from 9:30 A.M. till time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M.. Interment to follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine.
