Martin A. Loeffler

Martin A. Loeffler, age 69, of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, passed away on June 19, 2026, surrounded by his son, Brian, and his sister and brother. Beloved husband of the late Barbara Ann Loeffler. Loving father of Jaclyn (Geoff) Olson and Brian Loeffler. Proud grandfather of Ella and Brody Olson. Dear brother of the late Richard (Linda) Loeffler, the late Angie Cratty, Christine (Glenn) Kosiba, and Joseph (Kelly) Loeffler. Fond nephew, uncle, great-uncle, and cousin to many. Born in Evanston to Mary and Bud Loeffler, Marty was the fourth of five siblings. He attended St. Nicholas Grade School in Evanston and graduated from Niles North High School. After high school, Marty joined the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. Following his honorable discharge, he began a career as an auto mechanic. Like his father, Marty could fix anything. He worked for Ford Motor Company for more than 30 years. Marty had a remarkable gift for connecting with people and made friends wherever life took him. After retirement, Marty worked part-time for First Student Bus Company. The children loved him and affectionately called him "Mr. Bus Driver." On days when he was not working, they made sure he knew he was missed. Above all, Marty treasured his family. He is survived by his son and best buddy, Brian, and his daughter, Jackie. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Marty is now reunited with Barbara, his beloved wife of more than 40 years. Family and friends are to gather for the visitation on Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 1:00 P.M. till time of service at 3:30 P.M. at Morizzo Funeral Home, 2550 West Hassell Rd., (Northeast corner of Barrington Rd.), Hoffman Estates, IL. 60169.
