Mr. Peter Balistreri of Inverness

Peter Balistreri, of Inverness, Illinois. Pete was born in Palermo, Sicily and came to the United States at the age of 12, with his parents and sisters. He met his wife Laura in 1982, he quickly knew she was the love of his life; they married on June 26th, 1983 and celebrated 34 years of marriage. Together they had three children in addition to his two daughters. He worked in the home building industry for 20 years; half of those years were with William Ryan Homes, where co-workers became family. Pete earned all the top awards in the industry for his creative sales and marketing. He was also a technology visionary and later an entrepreneur. He built his family a home in Barrington and enjoyed 2nd homes in Naples, Florida and Apple Canyon Lake. Pete loved spending time playing with his grandchildren along with fishing, cooking, and gardening. Loving husband of Laura Balistreri, nee Fuller; devoted father of Priscilla (John) Morrison, Joseph “Joey” Balistreri, Peter (Lindsay) Balistreri, Mary Rose (John) Smith and Danielle Smith; cherished grandfather of Gianna M., Gabriella, Gianna S., Jacoby, Noah and Brendan; loving son of Giuseppe and Maria Balistreri; devoted son-in-law of Nancy and the late Arthur Fuller; fond brother of Nancy Paoulos and Rosa (Salvatore) Lazzara; uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many.
